Elham Valley |
Established in 1985, our Elham Valley Vineyard is the oldest vineyard in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, producing a collection of elegant wines. New vines were planted in 2011, and we now grow Bacchus, Pinot Noir and Seyval varieties over the years to produce a still white, a sparkling white, a Blanc de Noirs and a sparkling rosé.
It is also home to the Fifth Trust , which has been supporting adults with learning disabilities for over 30 years. The Vineyard Garden Centre and Vineyard Café help support our day care service vision and provide rewarding work experience opportunities for our students.
Established in 1985, our Elham Valley Vineyard is the oldest vineyard in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, producing a collection of elegant wines.
New vines were planted in 2011, since then the grapes have been carefully tended and harvested by The Fifth Trust’s horticulture students, staff and volunteers. We have grown Bacchus, Pinot Noir and Seyval varieties over the years to produce a still white, a sparkling white, a Blanc de Noirs and a sparkling rosé, and we continue to review new grapes, many of which are more resilient.
Our Wines
Still white - Clean and bright Seyval blend displaying pretty stone fruit and green apple on the nose followed by white peach and grapefruit.
Blanc de Noirs - A savoury expression of hay contrasted by red fruits and white peach on the nose leads to a broad weighty palate with a gentle foam.
Our Wines
Sparkling white - Fresh nose of apple and brioche with a crisp, dry palate offering a gentle mousse and flavours of fresh bread, lemon and yellow apple.
Sparkling rosé - A really fresh attractive nose with gentle raspberry notes with hints of brioche. The wine delivers a mouthful of bright fruits with fine mousse and a silky finish.
